Channeling their knowledge of Greek mythology, the children enthusiastically created their own zodiac signs, each reflecting traits and stories from the rich tapestry of Greek Mythology. With a blend of creativity and humor, they wrote witty horoscopes predicting the future for their classmates based on their newly invented zodiac symbols.
London – Houses of Parliament
During their visit to London, Year 6 students had a unique opportunity to connect their studies of Ancient Greece and democracy with a firsthand exploration of the Houses of Parliament. Welcomed by their local Member of Parliament, Jack Brereton, the students engaged in a lively question-and-answer session, delving into the intricacies of democratic governance and its historical roots. This interactive exchange provided valuable insights into the principles of representation and decision-making, drawing comparisons to the democratic ideals championed by the Ancient Greeks. In Science this term, Year 6 have delved into the captivating topic of evolution, exploring the mechanisms and processes that drive the diversity of life on Earth. We investigated the fossil record, studied key transitional forms and the evidence of evolutionary relationships among organisms.
